How do you even begin to try and explain how amazing, incredible, unique, and special Vanessa was in a few paragraphs? It is a monumental challenge that quite honestly cannot be accomplished. At least not in any entirely satisfactory way. Her vibe, energy, selflessness, passion, and determination to make this world the best it could be for those she cared about (which was just about everyone she met) radiated from her brightly, intensely, and without fail. 

It was absolutely palpable. In person, over the phone, through a goofy Snapchat, via email, heck even through snail mail...Vanessa sparkled. There was this indefinable thing...this special something...about her. It was always present. Sometimes simmering beneath the surface and other times bursting forth with the color, shine, and intensity of her favorite 4th of July fireworks. It deserves its own word, but to come up with one would be to contain it and minimize it and do it a disservice. It was her...it was Vanessa and it was unbelievably incredible.

Everything she put out into the world mattered even when she thought it didn't. Her written words so carefully chosen, her contagious laugh, her unwavering support so freely given...her impact in every way left its mark on countless others. 

Like too many beautiful things, she wasn't here long enough. Not even close. Like one of those sunsets so colorful it hardly seems real or that perfect breeze dancing across crashing waves or that quiet muting of the world that a fresh snowfall ushers out of the cold...over too quickly and gone too soon but never ever ever forgotten or diminished in mind, heart, or memory.
